Ray Cato started racing cars in the late 1950's. Back then he could be found every Saturday night down in the pits. He didn't have a car but he sure wanted to drive one badly. He became known as "Round Man". He got that name because he was always asking car owners, "Let me take it around Man !!"
Ray got his taste for speed driving Speedboats before he moved to hotrods.
In 1967 Ray Cato qualified and earned a license to drive in NASCAR events.
